The Research Support Service would like to discuss your research ideas with you. These sessions are for people working in local authorities or in other non-NHS settings who are starting out (or thinking about starting out) in public health research.
You can book an online session with an RSS methodologist and a public health expert to have a friendly, informal discussion about your research area of interest. Your ideas do not need to be well developed at this point. The meeting will last 30-45 minutes.
Our advisors will help you to think about your next steps, which might include:
How to further explore any ideas you may have (e.g. through literature searching and reviewing)
How to get some research experience through a placement, an internship, a predoctoral or doctoral fellowship, or other funding application
Thinking about how to find a supervisor or build a team
